• Audit & reconcile approximately 200 federal, state and local payroll tax filings.
• Research variances and resolve tax notices with agencies.
• Maintain organized documentation of audits and research.
• Requires 3+ years of U.S. payroll tax experience.
• Ability to operate independently with little oversight.
• Advanced Excel skills including V-Lookup and Pivot Tables.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
• Position is remote and requires up to 40 hours per week.
• Expected duration is 3 months.

Requirements

• 3+ years of U.S. payroll tax experience for large multi-state employer.
• Ability to operate independently with little oversight.
• Self-starter; works with sense of urgency.
• Advanced Excel skills including V-Lookup and Pivot Tables.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to demonstrate complete discretion and confidentiality.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent education & experience.
