Senior Manager, Indirect Tax - Remote

Overview

Angi is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Manager of Indirect Tax to lead all aspects of U.S. sales tax and European VAT compliance and advisory. This role will be instrumental in managing global indirect tax risks, ensuring compliance, supporting business expansion, and driving process improvements across Angi’s operations.

In Short

• Oversee end-to-end U.S. and Canadian sales and use tax compliance.
• Manage VAT registration and compliance across key European jurisdictions.
• Lead U.S. and international indirect tax audits.
• Drive automation of indirect tax processes.
• Serve as the key tax contact for various internal teams.
• Ensure proper application of taxability rules and nexus determinations.
• Collaborate with local advisors for VAT reporting.
• Monitor and interpret changing tax laws.
• Provide tax guidance on contracts and pricing structures.
• Support business initiatives in Europe from a VAT planning perspective.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or Master’s in Tax preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive indirect tax experience.
• Experience with tax automation systems (e.g., Avalara, Vertex).
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience at a multinational corporation and/or Big 4 firm preferred.
