Join Amgen’s mission of serving patients by becoming an Associate Instrumentation Technician, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and troubleshooting instruments and process control systems at the Rhode Island site.

In Short

  • Perform calibration, repair, installation, and troubleshooting of instruments.
  • Work a 12-hour night shift (7PM-7AM) on a rotating schedule.
  • Receive a 15% shift differential and premium pay for Sundays worked.
  • Complete work in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Document work activities accurately and completely.
  • Identify and recommend improvements in workflow.
  • Participate in skill development for team performance.
  • Support work outside normal hours if needed.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and innovative culture.
  • Help transform the lives of patients through your work.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of relevant experience.
  • 1 Certification related to the role and 2 years of experience.
  • Associate’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience with instrumentation and calibration procedures.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction.
  • Knowledge of Maximo CMMS System.
  • Ability to interpret P&ID’s.
  • Understanding of process control loops and loop tuning.
  • Experience with Rosemount instrumentation and Delta V systems.
  • Formal instrumentation education or training preferred.
