Instrument Technician II - Remote

Overview

The Instrument Technician II is responsible for ensuring that surgical and procedural technicians have access to the necessary reusable medical equipment, while maintaining compliance with sterilization protocols.

In Short

• Disassemble and clean medical instruments and materials.
• Assemble and package surgical instruments for sterilization.
• Utilize sterilizing equipment to ensure proper sterilization.
• Keep detailed records of sterilization loads.
• Transport sterilized instruments to the Sterile Supply Department.
• Collaborate with operating room staff to provide necessary supplies.
• Perform routine testing on sterilizing equipment.
• Follow established safety protocols and compliance standards.
• Handle demanding and/or stressful requests effectively.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year healthcare experience.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to handle stressful requests.
