Governance Manager - Remote

Overview

The Governance Manager at AIUM is responsible for overseeing the organization’s governance operations, including managing committee appointments, board meetings, and leadership processes. This role ensures alignment with AIUM’s policies and best practices while supporting the Communities of Practice (COP) program.

In Short

• Manage the overall governance system and ensure alignment with AIUM’s policies.
• Oversee the appointment process for committees, boards, and leadership roles.
• Assist in scheduling and coordinating Board meetings and Executive Committee meetings.
• Provide governance-related guidance and training to staff liaisons and committee members.
• Act as the main point of contact for COP leaders.
• Ensure governance best practices are upheld across AIUM committees.
• Collaborate with staff and leadership across various departments.
• Attend virtually monthly Executive Committee calls and triannual Board meetings.
• Required travel to AIUM’s annual conference and other events.
• Other duties as assigned by the CEO.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in governance or nonprofit management.
• Experience in an association or professional society is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple committees.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Project management abilities.
• Proactive and strategic thinker.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.
