Overview

The Medical Billing Representative is responsible for managing billing processes and accounts receivable in a fast-paced office environment, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with billing policies.

In Short

• Perform data entry and maintain accuracy of billing information.
• Scan and file documents for retention.
• Process statements and handle returned mail.
• Understand and apply billing terminology and processes.
• Adjust to increased workloads as necessary.
• Learn and adhere to billing policies and procedures.
• Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum of 1 year of previous billing work experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with data entry.
• Ability to learn proprietary software systems.
• Experience navigating third-party websites.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment.
• Previous healthcare billing experience is a plus.
• Availability for M-F day shifts.
