Full Stack Engineer (Backend-Focused) - SC Cleared - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer, with a strong emphasis on backend development, to join our dynamic team at Amber Labs, a cutting-edge UK and European technology consultancy.

In Short

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Java (Spring Boot).
• Write high-quality, testable, and maintainable code using TDD (JUnit, Mockito, or similar frameworks).
• Develop and optimise relational database schemas in Postgres (or similar SQL databases).
• Implement containerisation strategies using Docker.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins or similar).
• Collaborate within an Agile team, working closely with other engineers, product managers, and designers.
• Contribute to frontend development using React and TypeScript where necessary.
• Work with API specifications using Swagger (OpenAPI).
• Monitor and improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Java/Spring Boot.
• Experience working with Postgres (or similar relational databases).
• Solid understanding of Docker and containerised deployments.
• Strong experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) using JUnit & Mockito (or similar libraries).
• Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or equivalent).
• Comfortable working in Agile teams and collaborating across disciplines.
