Revenue Accountant - Remote

Overview

Join Alpaca, a Fintech startup, as a Revenue Accountant to assist in invoicing and revenue recognition while maturing our accounting functions and reporting needs.

In Short

• Ensure accurate recording of revenue transactions in accordance with GAAP and IFRS.
• Prepare and reconcile monthly revenue reports and account balances.
• Manage multi-entity invoicing process and accounts receivable ledger.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare financial statements accurately and timely.
• Support the annual audit process.
• Develop and implement internal controls related to revenue accounting.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3-5 years relevant experience in financial services preferred.
• Ability to obtain FINRA Series 27 after hire.
• Excellent data analysis and reporting skills.
• Experience with ASC 606 on revenue recognition.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented with a desire to support others.
• Enjoys challenges and taking ownership of responsibilities.
