Overview

The MedPay/PIP Claims Consultant is responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for automobile accidents, determining coverage, liability, and damages while adjusting and negotiating claims.

In Short

  • Determine coverage, liability, and damages for claims.
  • Negotiate claims within authority limits.
  • Partner with fraud and subrogation teams as needed.
  • Apply understanding of insurance policies and organizational relationships.
  • Identify customer needs and provide appropriate service.
  • Handle investigations regarding all aspects of auto claims.
  • Work independently with discretion in decision-making.
  • Preferred 2+ years of experience and a 4-year Bachelor's Degree.
  • No supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 4-year Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
  • 2 or more years of relevant experience (preferred).
  • Ability to assess and manage claims effectively.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of insurance policies.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Knowledge of fraud and subrogation processes.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
