The Bilingual Call Center Agent is an entry-level role at a reputable community healthcare clinic, primarily functioning in the clinic’s call center with responsibilities including answering calls, scheduling appointments, and providing high-quality customer service.

In Short

  • Full-time remote/onsite hybrid role.
  • Operates a multi-line telephone system to answer incoming calls.
  • Schedules patient appointments and ensures accurate patient information.
  • Checks insurance eligibility and creates billing notes.
  • Participates in care team huddles and provides backup support.
  • Enters information into the electronic health record system.
  • Handles patient inquiries and updates fiscal and demographic data.
  • Tracks patient billing histories and discusses overdue payments.
  • May send appointment reminder letters to patients.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; related experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence.
  • Effective presentation skills in one-on-one and group settings.
  • Proficient in typing (45 WPM) and MS Office.
