Nonprofit Accountant - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Nonprofit Accountant to join our team and help support our small business clients. This role is pivotal in supporting mission-driven nonprofit organizations to reach their business goals through proactive financial management and consulting.

• Manage and nurture client relationships while collaborating with your delivery team for optimal service delivery.

• Become proficient in various accounting software platforms, with a strong foundation in QuickBooks Online.
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls and fraud prevention measures across client accounts.
• Contribute in team knowledge sharing and drive process improvements.
• Meet weekly billable hours goals while maintaining the highest quality standards.
• Process and review accounts payable, ensuring accurate vendor setup and fraud prevention.
• Conduct thorough monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and manage accounts receivable processes, including collections.
• Monitor budget variances and communicate significant issues proactively.

Requirements

• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple client relationships.

• Experience in nonprofit accounting is preferred.
