Nonprofit Accountant - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Nonprofit Accountant to join our team and help support our small business clients. This role is pivotal in supporting mission-driven nonprofit organizations to reach their business goals through proactive financial management and consulting.

In Short

• Manage and nurture client relationships while collaborating with your delivery team.
• Design and deliver exemplary service across various accounting tasks.
• Become proficient in various accounting software platforms, especially QuickBooks Online.
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls and fraud prevention measures.
• Contribute to team knowledge sharing and process improvements.
• Meet weekly billable hours goals while maintaining quality standards.
• Conduct thorough reconciliations and manage accounts payable/receivable.
• Prepare payroll with attention to compliance.
• Maintain high standards of service quality and client satisfaction.
• Actively participate in internal responsibilities and brand ambassador program.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in nonprofit or public accounting.
• Demonstrated success managing multiple client relationships.
• Strong technical aptitude and adaptability to accounting software.
• Excellence in written and verbal communication.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaborate with teams.
• Experience with fraud prevention and internal controls.

Benefits

• Salary: $60,000 - $75,000.
• Annual Bonus: Up to 10% of salary.
