Overview

Algolia is seeking a Senior Back-end Engineer to join their Engines team, responsible for building and maintaining the Core Search Engine to ensure optimal performance and scalability for customers.

In Short

• Contribute to the design and development of the Search engine system at scale.
• Ensure the quality and soundness of the system.
• Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot and resolve high impact issues.
• Participate in out-of-hours on-call rotation for Algolia Search operations.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in Computer Science (data structures, algorithms, software design).
• Commitment to high code quality and automated testing.
• Experience with complex C++ codebases and distributed backends.
• Experience in designing major components and leading engineers.
• Professional spoken and written English skills.
