Linguist Analyst (English-Spanish) - Remote

Overview

We are looking to hire a language expert specialized in Spanish to serve as one of our Linguist Analysts, a position straddling our Linguistic Operations and Technology departments. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing translation data, managing client feedback, and facilitating ongoing refinements to our products in Spanish.

In Short

• Establish evaluation protocols and conduct in-depth analyses of machine translation output and training data.
• Process feedback on our A.I.-based translation tools.
• Provide punctual EN>ES translation services for the Technology team.
• Provide insight and recommendations based on linguistic analysis.
• Assist in the development and refinement of translation engine models.
• Interface between our Linguistic Operations team and Technology team.

Requirements

• Native fluency in Spanish and excellent command of English.
• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in English to Spanish translation, particularly in Finance and Legal domains.
• Excellent working knowledge of modern translation practices and environments.
• Familiarity with Excel and project management tools (Jira).
• Strong analytical skills and methodical mindset.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good tolerance for stress and efficiency in multitasking.
• Marked sense of initiative and ability to work independently or in teams.
