Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop trading systems and monitoring tools for our Liquid Air Energy Storage (LAES) plants and grid-stability operations.

In Short

This role is fully remote with no requirement for office presence.
We support remote collaboration through modern development practices, code reviews, and virtual team coordination.
We value clear thinkers with strong engineering fundamentals.
Python is our primary language (Rust a plus).
Strong engineering fundamentals are more important than specific language expertise.
Design and implement automated trading systems for UK energy markets.
Develop monitoring dashboards, alerting systems, and operational analytics.
Create high-throughput data ingestion and streaming pipelines.
Collaborate with DevOps and Data teams for deployment and production support.

Requirements

Strong problem-solving ability and software craftsmanship.
Experience with trading systems and market integration.
Knowledge of data pipelines using Kafka and PostgreSQL.
Experience in building microservices and APIs.
Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
