DevOps Engineer - Remote

Overview

Veriforce is seeking a DevOps Engineer to be a key member of the Veriforce software development team, working to deploy, monitor, and operate our software across key production systems that serve tens of thousands of customers. Your work will have a strong impact on user experience, customer satisfaction, and company growth. We work in an agile environment utilizing modern tools such as AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes and Ansible.

In Short

• Provide technical thought leadership in collaboration with Architecture and Engineering.
• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) for development, UAT, and production environments.
• Design, implement and maintain observability and monitoring solutions.
• Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration (CI) and delivery (CD) systems.
• Management of containerized workloads.
• Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes clusters.
• Design, implement, and maintain Kafka clusters.
• Identify points of failure and recommend solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) preferable.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in DevOps in a SaaS environment.
• Expertise in distributed systems and cloud platforms, primarily AWS.
• Experience with automated deployment methodologies supporting CI/CD/CM.
• Experience configuring and administering Kubernetes and Kafka clusters.
• Knowledge of software engineering and design principles.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
