Lead I&C Software Support Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Lead I&C (Instrumentation & Controls) Software Support Engineer works within the I&C Engineering team of the GE Hitachi (GEH) Engineering organization, focusing on designing and implementing electronic hardware and software for I&C systems for Nuclear Power Plants.

• Responsible for the delivery of high-quality engineering software.
• Development and deployment of special purpose Software Test tools.
• Configure, maintain, and improve Software Development infrastructure.
• Perform Unit/Module and Integration testing of Software packages.
• Prepare specifications and reports in support of the Software Lifecycle.
• Conduct code reviews and documentation reviews.
• Manage time effectively to provide quality deliverables.
• Engage customers to define scope and review results.
• Effectively manage multiple priorities.
• Communicate status of work activities to leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in electrical, computer or software engineering.
• 5 years of experience in software testing, development, and deployment.
• 3 years of experience with coding conventions and testing.
• 3 years of experience with Static Analysis and Unit Testing Tools (LDRA).
• Knowledge of common computer languages (C, C++, Python).
• Experience with software development in a regulated environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Leadership experience.
• Ability to solve technical challenges using design patterns.
• Experience meeting Industry Coding Standards.
