Lead Systems Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Lead Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting customers with operating BWR plants by addressing complex technical issues and collaborating with various engineering and business disciplines.

• Lead calculations, design analyses, and evaluations for BWR safety and non-safety systems.
• Apply engineering knowledge to solve complex design problems.
• Develop drawings and specifications to meet engineering and quality requirements.
• Respond professionally to customer requests and emergent plant issues.
• Review proposals with emphasis on BWR system design bases.
• Support initiatives for new or improved plant components.
• Collaborate with quality personnel on process approvals.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Nuclear Plant Safety Systems.
• Lead or contribute to major projects in a team environment.
• Comfortable with quarterly travel to Wilmington, NC.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with BWR Nuclear Power Plant Systems.
• In-depth knowledge of major NSSS systems.
• Proven technical skills in a project management environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Leadership experience on major projects.
• Familiarity with setpoint calculation standards.
• Ability to manage multiple demands and changing priorities.
• Experience with design and operation of nuclear components.
• Professional Engineering License or advanced degree preferred.
