Field Service Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Field Service Engineer will provide technical assistance and supervision for the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment, with significant travel requirements to customer sites.

In Short

• Pre-commission and commission static frequency converters and variable frequency drives.
• Provide technical assistance and supervision to customers on installations.
• Conduct on-site interpretation of data and technical instructions.
• Complete site documentation including safety updates and commissioning procedures.
• Hands-on parts replacement and testing of electrical equipment.
• Adhere to company Health and Safety policies.
• Interface with upper management and peers effectively.
• Willingness to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally.
• Fluent in English with strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience with test instruments and programming languages.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Solid understanding of Power Electronics and Electric Power Systems.
• Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers.
• Good literacy in at least one programming language.
• Comfortable with marine vessel travel and offshore work.
• Strong analytical and quality improvement skills.
• Ability to work across different time zones.
• Strong job ethics and team collaboration skills.
