Commissioning Manager (Portfolio) - Remote

Overview

As the Commissioning Manager (Portfolio), you are responsible for the definition & execution of commissioning activities during ITO and OTR on several small to medium projects & service contracts, acting under the direction and on behalf of the Project Managers / Bid Managers.

In Short

• Define commissioning strategy for projects.
• Lead commissioning team and manage execution of work.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, costs, and delivery standards.
• Participate in recruitment and training of new engineers.
• Prepare budget forecasts and tender documents.
• Conduct site audits and ensure resource availability.
• Set goals for commissioning engineers.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety policies.
• Manage quality procedures and report non-conformances.
• Provide timely status updates on site performance.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in high voltage electrical commissioning.
• Health and safety qualifications in line with international standards.
• GWO certification is an advantage.
• Knowledge of UK standards for electrical commissioning.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• IT proficiency including commissioning platforms.
• Experience in offshore substations is a plus.
• Ability to travel to project sites (approx. 20%).
• Experience as Commissioning Manager in the UK is an advantage.
