Commissioning Lead - Remote

Overview

The Commissioning Lead works collaboratively with the team to organize and deliver Wind Farm Projects of various size and scope depending on geography and project. They are accountable for managing GE employees, leased workers, and contracted services to commission GE windfarms, ensuring excellence in leadership, safety, and quality control.

• Manage daily commissioning operations for wind farm projects.
• Ensure compliance with technical documents and quality processes.
• Advocate for safety and adhere to EHS regulations.
• Support project phases and resolve commissioning issues.
• Evaluate, mentor, and develop commissioning teams.
• Maintain equipment and tooling for safety and quality.
• Plan and request special tooling requirements as needed.
• Engage in continuous improvement and LEAN activities.
• Represent GE with integrity and good judgment.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Requirements

• Industry recognized Qualification/Certification in Electrical Engineering.
• 5-7 years of experience in Wind Turbine commissioning.
• Demonstrated trade or heavy lift experience.
• Standard industry safety training (GWO).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure while following safety guidelines.
• Medical capability for working at heights.
• Valid Driving License.
• Experience in Quality processes.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel.
