Staff Accountant – Finance & Accounting Transformation - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant with strong experience in reconciliations, accounting cleanup, and financial reporting support to help drive our finance & accounting transformation.

In Short

• Perform reconciliations and accounting cleanup to ensure accuracy of the general ledger and financial statements.
• Build and maintain supporting balance sheet schedules, ensuring alignment with GAAP requirements.
• Design and implement processes that strengthen reporting discipline and improve efficiency.
• Conduct tests of balance sheet accounts and other analyses to validate account balances.
• Develop structured reconciliation schedules and financial support packages.
• Bridge financial reporting and business operations by translating financial statements.
• Partner with senior finance leadership to implement corrective entries.
• Handle large data sets efficiently, ensuring accuracy in reconciliations.
• Collaborate with external advisors and auditors providing clear documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience with a strong background in reconciliations.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and experience preparing financial statements.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a structured approach to problem solving.
• Strong communication skills to distill complex data into clear schedules.
• Ability to link financial results to operational performance.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
