Overview

The Benefits Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day administration, auditing, and support of employee benefit programs, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

In Short

  • Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, and retirement.
  • Manage new hire enrollments and qualifying life events.
  • Maintain and update records in the HRIS.
  • Support open enrollment execution and communications.
  • Conduct audits of benefit deductions and enrollments.
  • Provide employee support for benefits inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with benefit-related laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors.
  • Maintain data integrity in benefits systems.
  • Support benefits processes within UKG.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in benefits administration.
  • Strong understanding of payroll deductions and taxation.
  • Experience with HRIS and benefits systems.
  • Knowledge of benefit-related laws (ACA, COBRA, FMLA, etc.).
  • Advanced organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours during busy seasons.
  • Proactive mindset for process improvements.
