Overview

The Epic Application Analyst is responsible for analyzing and improving clinical and business processes for assigned Epic applications, ensuring they meet user requirements and business needs.

In Short

  • Identify, map, and improve clinical and business processes.
  • Prepare documentation for business requirements.
  • Translate user requirements into design specifications.
  • Develop test plans and validate performance of functions.
  • Provide training and support to users.
  • Monitor system functionality and implement changes.
  • Communicate project status and upgrades to users.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and support.
  • Manage application version upgrades.
  • Balance multiple requests and priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in IT or clinical environment.
  • Experience with business process mapping and analysis.
  • Familiarity with Epic and other healthcare applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Project management experience.
  • Understanding of change management practices.
  • Ability to translate user requirements into system specifications.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
