Contributing Faculty - Doctor of Social Work - Remote

Overview

Walden University seeks a dynamic, innovative faculty member for this contributing (part-time) position in the Ph.D. in Social Work and the DSW programs. Key responsibilities of this position include teaching courses and mentoring student research.

In Short

• Teach courses and mentor student research in Social Work programs.
• Utilize online technology and resources for effective education.
• Interact with students through the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Provide timely feedback and assessment of student work.
• Participate in graduate-level residencies, if invited.
• Maintain appropriate credentials and licenses.
• Commit to supporting diverse adult learners.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems is required.
• Proficiency with SPSS or NVivo is preferred.
• Travel to university events may be required.

Requirements

• An earned Ph.D. or DSW in social work from an accredited university.
• MSW from a CSWE accredited program.
• Experience with dissertation committees.
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the degree level.
• Minimum of 3 years post-MSW social work practice experience.
• Commitment to the social change mission of Walden University.
• Experience with online teaching preferred.
• Ability to maintain current knowledge in the field.
• Willingness to perform additional duties as needed.
