Finance & Grant Manager - Remote

Overview

The Finance & Grant Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial management of grant programs, ensuring compliance with funding regulations, managing budgets, processing grant disbursements, monitoring financial performance of funded projects, and preparing comprehensive financial reports for the Fund, all while supporting the identification and evaluation of innovative projects in Malawi.

• Ensure all transactions are properly accounted for and financial systems are maintained.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor budget performance.
• Prepare and generate financial reports for management and stakeholders.
• Manage bank accounts and perform reconciliations.
• Oversee grant administration and ensure compliance with donor requirements.
• Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors for internal and external audits.
• Communicate financial metrics to senior management.
• Support the identification and evaluation of innovative projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Proven experience in finance or accounting roles and grants management.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and grant compliance.
• Proficient in financial software and MS Excel.
• Knowledge of donor compliance regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with good integrity.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Ability to work remotely and manage tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills to present financial information clearly.
