Overview

The Cheques Team within Core Banking is seeking a seasoned Senior COBOL Developer to maintain and enhance COBOL applications, ensuring high system availability and resolving production incidents.

In Short

Provide production support for COBOL-based applications.
Analyze and troubleshoot system problems.
Participate in root cause analysis.
Enhance legacy COBOL applications.
Collaborate with QA, business analysts, and developers.
24/7 standby responsibilities on a rotational basis.
At least 5 years' experience in COBOL programming.
Experience with JCL, IMS, and DB2 databases.
Familiarity with batch and real-time processing.
Excellent problem-solving skills.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology.
5+ years of COBOL programming experience.
Intermediate to Expert level experience in IMS & DB2.
Experience in supporting production environments.
Knowledge of change control and version management tools.
Attention to detail.
