Head of Engineering - Supply Tech - Remote

Overview

We are currently looking for a skilled & passionate Head of Engineering (m/f/d) to lead our Supply Tech Unit at ABOUT YOU!

Our Supply Tech Unit is responsible for discovering and creating technical solutions for integrating our supply from beginning to end. With a keen understanding of our supply business and extensive knowledge of the system landscape that runs our ABOUT YOU shops in over 20 countries, they seamlessly integrate merchants who sell at ABOUT YOU across a wide range of business models.

In Short

• Oversee and enable key strategic initiatives across our system landscape.
• Build performant & high scalable technical solutions.
• Draft architectural decisions for reliable products.
• Manage high-performing engineering teams.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders.
• Report to VP level and prepare MD decisions.
• Challenge business requirements for technical complexity.
• Provide leadership fostering collaboration and improvement.
• Encourage own ideas and creations in a flat hierarchy.

Requirements

• Experience with PHP (Laravel), Vue.JS, AWS, MySQL.
• Experienced in developing high-scalable software products.
• Deep understanding of software architecture in cloud providers.
• Design scalable systems and data modeling.
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders.
• Analytical, data-driven, and efficiency-focused approach.
• Hands-on with attention to detail and a get-things-done mentality.
• Very good written and spoken English skills.
