Overview

AbbVie is looking for a talented Senior Security Engineer to join our application security program.

In Short

• Focus on the design, building, and automating components of the application security program.
• Leverage expertise in AppDev, secure software development, and data analytics.
• Automate the collection and analysis of intelligence artifacts.
• Integrate with DevSecOps tooling and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in modern DevOps environments.
• Experience required in building and implementing apps in production-like environments.
• Strong skills in Python, PowerShell, or other scripting languages.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Experience in cybersecurity or DevSecOps is beneficial.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 7 years experience or Master's Degree with 6 years experience or PhD with 2 years experience in Information Security.
• Experience in secure software development and DevOps environments.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with software composition analysis and software bill of materials.
• Experience with cloud platforms and automation tools.
• Knowledge of container and platform technology.
• Interest in developing cybersecurity expertise.
• Ability to communicate effectively at different organizational levels.
