Overview

The Principal Medical Science Liaison (PMSL) is a field-based scientific expert that strategically supports the scientific and business objectives of a designated therapeutic area (TA) across the product life cycle. They combine a high level of business and deep scientific acumen as well as an executive presence.

• Collaborate with internal TA to develop National Expert Engagement plans.
• Partner with Business Development to explore new disease state areas.
• Strategic execution for National and Regional US conventions.
• Provide field-medical teams with relevant clinical trial materials.
• Assist with the release of trial data to investigators.
• Innovate by creating and implementing new approaches.
• Present scientific concepts at a high level of expertise.
• Meet health care industry representative credentialing requirements.
• Travel up to 80% of the time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in health sciences; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of pharmaceutical field-based experience.
• Exhibits leadership attributes aligned with company initiatives.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be willing to travel frequently.
