Overview

The Associate Director of the ICSR Coding Team will manage the MedDRA and WHODrug governance model within AbbVie’s Safety/ICSR Coding Team, ensuring effective management of coding processes and team leadership.

• Manage Safety/ICSR Coding Team, both internal and outsourced.
• Oversee departmental and organizational process improvement projects.
• Manage departmental budgets and forecast future resource needs.
• Lead Clinical Coding or Safety/ICSR coding workflow and training.
• Accountable for Safety ICSR MedDRA and WHODrug governance.
• Resolve inquiries and actions from the Coding Management Committee.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related health science field.
• 5-7 years of related experience; 2 years in a management role.
• Experience with MedDRA and WHODrug coding is required.
• Working knowledge of medical and medication terminology.
• Proven leadership experience.
