The Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN position involves providing and coordinating clinically competent care for patients, participating in decision-making and quality improvement activities within a healthcare team.

• Entry-level position in the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP)
• Responsible for assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care
• Delegates tasks to nursing staff and Patient Care Technicians
• Documents patient data and adjusts treatment plans as necessary

• Administers medications and ensures safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy
• Participates in staff training and orientation
• May require travel to training sites or other facilities
• Maintains compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
• Works in a healthcare facility environment with physical demands including lifting and moving patients

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
• CPR BLS Certification required
• Less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience preferred
• Experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis is a plus
• Ability to perform physical demands of the job
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Participates in ongoing professional development
• Must meet practice requirements in the state of employment
• Must complete CAP requirements to advance
