Senior Front End WordPress Developer - Remote

Overview

As a front-end WordPress developer, you will be responsible for the user interface of our website, requiring advanced knowledge of WordPress, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.

In Short

• Build web applications with web development best practices.
• Transform app designs into front-end code with WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Work with back-end developers to integrate UI components with APIs and databases.
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical requirements or UX design.
• Debug errors, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine performance optimizations.
• Manage the on-site search engine optimization (SEO).
• Write high-quality, scalable, and reusable code.
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years experience developing modern, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible websites using WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery and Bootstrap.
• Proficient with HTML5, including semantic HTML5 elements, microformats, and WAI-ARIA.
• Familiar with CSS preprocessors such as Sass, Less, or Tailwind CSS.
• Working knowledge of SEO principles.
• Experience with build tools such as Grunt, Gulp, or Webpack.
• Basic proficiency with Photoshop or Figma.
• Experience with cross-browser compatibility testing.
• Experience with responsive web design.
• Familiar with W3C and W3GAC html standards.
• Have a fully functional and up-to-date computer with which to perform duties.
• Willing to install next-generation endpoint protection on the computer.
• Current resident of the Philippines and can perform work from there.
• Willing to work in US Pacific business hours (8am-5pm PST).
