IT Service Manager with Security Background - Remote

Overview

The Information Technology Service Manager directly oversees the Technology Service Desk, technicians, system administrators, and engineering consulting teams that serve our diverse client base. A combination of manager, account supervisor, business driver, cheerleader, and customer service expert, this full-time, remote role requires a broad collection of skills as well as specific industry expertise.

In Short

• Take complete ownership of the technology team and provide excellent client services.
• Play an active role in proactive and reactive client management and issue resolution.
• Work closely with the executive team to ensure optimal operations.
• Oversee service delivery projects including equipment deployment and software releases.
• Develop and maintain key functional areas to enhance team performance.
• Lead and motivate the Technical Operations team.
• Manage tier 1 and tier 2 organizational response.
• Identify staffing needs and collaborate with the recruitment team.
• Perform root cause analysis of infrastructure and security issues.
• Provide executive-level reporting for decision making.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of IT best practices and security policies.
• Understanding of client/server technology and network architecture.
• Experience with Microsoft platforms, cloud, and virtualization.
• 8+ years of IT service experience and 5+ years of supervisory experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Advanced leadership and conflict management skills.
• Project management skills including organization and time management.
• Ability to work in US Pacific Time.
