Overview

The Senior Security Engineer specializing in Threat Intelligence will focus on understanding adversary behavior and translating that intelligence into practical, operational outcomes to enhance security measures.

• Research and assess the threat landscape affecting 1Password’s attack surface.
• Analyze information to develop actionable intelligence for detection and response.
• Partner with Detection Engineering to design threat-based detections.
• Use automation to improve threat intelligence workflows.
• Deliver threat intelligence reports for technical and executive stakeholders.
• Build and maintain threat intelligence processes and documentation.
• Participate in security operations and incident management.

Requirements

• 5+ years in technical security engineering roles, 3+ years in threat intelligence.
• Understanding of modern attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• Experience with intelligence requirements and analysis workflows.
• Hands-on experience with scripting (e.g., Python) for operational efficiency.
• Ability to produce high-quality written intelligence reports.
• Familiarity with security telemetry and investigative workflows.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations for security incidents.
