Intermediate Accountant AR & AP - Remote

Overview

As an Intermediate Accountant at 1Password, you will be a key member of our growing Finance team, responsible for AR and AP accounting and analytics while performing general AR/AP functions.

In Short

• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally with hands-on exposure to both AR and AP.
• Experience in the tech industry and with Netsuite is considered an asset.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data modeling).
• Good understanding of financial systems, accounting principles, and financial analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple competing priorities.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organization skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize duties with minimum direction.

Requirements

• Prepare working papers and journal entries including AFDA provisions and vendor accruals.
• Prepare month-end account reconciliations and analysis.
• Develop key performance metrics and dashboards for AR/AP processes.
• Perform monthly variance analyses of key AR/AP general ledger accounts.
• Prepare the quarterly cash payout and cash collection forecast.
• Review and approve vendor invoices prior to payment processing.
• Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities.
• Help with projects related to automation and process improvements.
