Senior Electrical Planning Engineer for Commercial Photovoltaics & New Energy Systems - Remote

Overview

At 1KOMMA5° Commercial & Industrial Solutions, we support all commercial and industrial companies in Germany on their path to CO₂ neutrality with safe, efficient, and innovative new energy systems. We are looking for a Senior Electrical Planning Engineer for commercial photovoltaics and new energy systems who wants to contribute their expertise in photovoltaics, energy storage, charging infrastructure, energy management, and network technology.

In Short

• Independent development of AC concepts for PV systems, storage, charging infrastructure, and energy management
• Thorough understanding of applicable standards (VDE 4105 & 4110, TAB of network operators, etc.)
• Selection of main components (switch cabinets, AC collectors, routers, etc.)
• Responsibility for timely network applications and provision of certification documents
• Approval of Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and ensuring declarations of conformity
• Conducting and controlling cable calculations, reviewing junior plans
• Technical inventory, inspections, and documentation of results
• Close collaboration with sales, project management, and network operators
• Knowledge transfer to junior colleagues and support for the team on technical issues
• Willingness to travel for inspections and commissioning of own projects

Requirements

• Completed studies in electrical engineering or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in AC planning of energy or PV systems
• Sound knowledge of grid connection regulations, protection technology, and certification processes
• Very good knowledge of cable sizing, AC component planning, and technical documentation
• Experience in collaboration with network operators and customers
• Structured, independent work style and high quality awareness
• Enjoyment of knowledge transfer and professional guidance of junior colleagues
