Senior Electrical Planning Engineer for Commercial Photovoltaics & New Energy Systems - East Region - Remote

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Planning Engineer for commercial photovoltaics and new energy systems in the East region who can contribute their expertise in photovoltaics, energy storage, charging infrastructure, energy management, and network technology.

In Short

• Independent development of AC concepts for PV systems, storage, charging infrastructure, and energy management.
• Understanding of applicable standards (VDE 4105 & 4110, TAB of grid operators).
• Selection of main components and handover to switch planning.
• Responsibility for timely grid applications and provision of certification documents.
• Approval of Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and ensuring compliance declarations.
• Conducting and controlling cable calculations, reviewing junior plans.
• Technical inventory, inspections, and documentation of results.
• Close collaboration with sales, project management, and grid operators.
• Knowledge transfer to junior colleagues and support for technical questions.
• Willingness to travel for inspections and commissioning of own projects.

Requirements

• Completed studies in electrical engineering or comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience in AC planning of energy or PV systems.
• Solid knowledge of grid connection regulations, protection technology, and certification processes.
• Very good knowledge in cable sizing, AC component planning, and technical documentation.
• Experience in collaboration with grid operators and customers.
• Structured, independent working style, and high quality awareness.
• Enjoyment in knowledge transfer and technical guidance of junior colleagues.
