Senior Backend Developer / Tech Lead - Remote

Overview

We're looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer with a strong backend focus to lead one of the most impactful transitions in our company's history: consolidating 15 Shopify stores into a unified, scalable, appfirst architecture. This isn't a maintenance role. You'll shape technical direction, work directly with product and business, and have real ownership from day one.

In Short

• Design and build scalable backend systems on AWS
• Centralize user authentication and order management across multiple Shopify stores
• Integrate legacy systems into a unified app-based architecture
• Contribute to the Breeze mobile app ecosystem
• Lead key initiatives including multi-store order management consolidation
• Integrate AI chatbot (SuperChat)
• Implement dynamic bundle builder for multi-destination travel
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and partner teams
• Work with cutting-edge AI tools as a core part of your workflow
• 5+ years of full-stack development experience required

Requirements

• Strong backend expertise (~70% backend / 30% frontend)
• Proven ability to thrive in startup or high-growth environments
• Solid understanding of scalable architectures and API design
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered development tools
• eCommerce or Shopify experience is a strong plus
• Independent, ownership-driven mindset
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and fast-changing priorities
• Strong communicator across technical and non-technical teams
