Overview

We are seeking a Senior Rails Engineer to join our team at Zarego, dedicated to creating high-quality software solutions. This fully remote position is open to candidates across Latin America.

In Short

Design, develop, test, and maintain Ruby on Rails applications.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams using the API first paradigm.
Ensure high performance, stability, and scalability of applications.
Participate in code reviews, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting.
Support and mentor team members.
Implement automated testing frameworks.
Identify and fix issues impacting speed, security, or system efficiency.

Requirements

5+ years of software development experience with Ruby on Rails.
Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
Experience with background job processing systems.
Knowledge of RESTful API design and development.
Familiarity with cloud platforms.
Strong experience with frontend technologies (TypeScript, React, Next.js).
Advanced English level (B2 or higher).
