Overview

YipitData is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join their dynamic Data Engineering team in India. The role involves building and maintaining data pipelines and optimizing them for reliability and performance.

In Short

• Work with a global team and report to the Director of Data Engineering.
• Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines.
• Help set best practices for data modeling and pipeline builds.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to incorporate business logic into central pipelines.
• Become an expert in solving complex data pipeline issues using PySpark and SQL.
• Deeply learn Databricks and other internal ETL tools.
• Participate in training and onboarding with significant overlap with US working hours.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in technical roles.
• Strong understanding of data pipelines and working with large datasets.
• Experience with PySpark, Delta, and Databricks.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with collaborative work ethic.
• Nice to have: Experience with Airflow, dbt, Snowflake.
