Overview

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Xero will work within a team to ensure robust and automated processes for code deployment, focusing on scalability, security, and performance.

In Short

Collaborate with Infrastructure engineers, Developers, and Product Managers.
Design and implement cloud-based infrastructure using AWS services.
Develop automated processes for testing, deployment, and rollback.
Implement Infrastructure as Code for provisioning cloud resources.
Optimize observability and monitoring practices.
Coach and mentor junior engineers on best practices.
Experience with source control, build tools, and deployment tools.
Knowledge of networking and operating systems, especially Linux.
Proficiency in CI/CD concepts and tooling.
Passion for improving release processes and mentoring team members.

Requirements

Experience with Git, Github Actions, Terraform, Docker, AWS.
Knowledge of PaaS and IaaS services offered by AWS.
Experience in languages like .Net and Python.
Understanding of blue/green deployments and feature flagging.
Worked in DevOps, Release Engineering, or similar roles.
Passion for mentoring and coaching team members.
