Senior Civil/Structural Engineer - Remote

Overview

Parsons is seeking a talented Senior Structural Engineer to provide engineering support for Facilities Design and Construction projects for the Department of Defense.

In Short

• Perform complex engineering tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Prepare engineering computations, quantity takeoffs, and designs.
• Coordinate and supervise engineering design for assigned projects.
• Prepare technical specifications and scope of work descriptions.
• Participate in proposal writing and client presentations.
• Conduct constructability and maintainability reviews.
• Review shop drawings and construction-phase submittals.
• Make site trips for data collection and performance assessment.
• Work under the supervision of a design lead and other engineers.
• Mentor and train junior engineers.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of related work experience.
• Professional Structural Engineer (SE) license is required.
• Proficiency in structural engineering software.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with International Building Code and relevant standards.
• Ability to prioritize work under budget and time constraints.
• Active Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
