Overview

Parsons is looking for a talented Junior ISSO / Level 1 Information Systems Security Officer to join our growing team, where you will develop, maintain, and implement information security standards, procedures, and guidelines for applications and databases.

In Short

• Develop and implement information security standards.
• Protect systems and databases from unauthorized access.
• Monitor systems and identify threats.
• Handle disaster recovery operations.
• Support Security Test & Evaluation (ST&E) processes.
• Conduct system audits and monitor corrective actions.
• Perform Continuous Monitoring duties.
• Collaborate with military and civilian personnel.
• Maintain active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Work in a mission-critical environment.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI-Polygraph.
• IAT-II Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Associate’s Degree with 1+ years of experience or HS/GED with 3 years of experience.
• Familiarity with network and information system security principles.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and risk management.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with applicable IC and DoD policies.
• Knowledge of computer networking concepts.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
