Design Manager - Remote

Overview

Parsons is looking for a Design Manager to join our team on a landmark ultra-luxury development project that includes premium buildings and supporting infrastructure. In this role, you’ll be at the center of our design delivery process—coordinating consultants, managing multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring designs meet world-class quality standards, project requirements, and client expectations.

In Short

• Manage and coordinate all design activities across architectural, infrastructure, MEP, and landscape packages.
• Ensure that design consultants deliver on time, on budget, and in line with project specifications and codes.
• Drive the preparation and review of design deliverables from concept to issued-for-construction (IFC).
• Lead and participate in technical coordination meetings, client reviews, and design workshops.
• Monitor design progress and identify risks early, working with stakeholders to find timely solutions.
• Support the integration of design with construction, procurement, planning, and cost functions.
• Facilitate value engineering and design optimization efforts as needed.
• Maintain a clear log of design actions, RFIs, submittals, and approvals.
• Help manage regulatory submissions to ensure designs meet local authority requirements.
• Work on high-end residential, mixed-use, hospitality, or infrastructure projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of professional experience, including 5+ years in design management roles.
• Strong coordination skills across multiple design disciplines.
• Solid understanding of relevant building codes and international standards.
• Proficiency in design tools like AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and MS Office.
