xAI is seeking an experienced Commercial Counsel to support procurement efforts for AI datacenters, including hardware, infrastructure, and related services. This role involves negotiating high-value deals, ensuring compliance, and supporting our mission to advance AI technology.

In Short

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements for AI datacenters.
• Support general procurement for non-datacenter needs.
• Partner closely with engineering, finance and operations teams.
• Create processes for efficient and scalable contracting.
• Be a flexible team member in the Legal department.

Requirements

• 5+ years of legal experience, ideally in tech companies or law firms.
• Experience in commercial contracting focused on procurement.
• Proven track record of negotiating complex deals.
• Tech-savvy with an interest in datacenters and AI.
• Strong sense of ownership and sound judgment.
• JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
