Project Accounting Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Project Accounting Specialist is responsible for billing projects for a segment of the Operations & Management business at Woodard & Curran. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

In Short

• Issue draft invoices and billing reports for projects.
• Work with Project Managers and Project Assistants to edit draft invoices.
• Process project closeouts, including WIP and AR write-offs.
• Interpret client contracts to validate project information.
• Set up new projects with compensation and billing terms.
• Research and resolve project accounting issues.
• Produce ad hoc reports for Project Managers.
• Assist with the annual audit.
• Minimum annual travel required.
• Potential for a fully remote or hybrid role.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with Deltek Vision or similar software preferred.
• Basic knowledge of project accounting concepts preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.
