Woodard & Curran is a national engineering, science, and operations firm focused on clean water and a safe environment. We are seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

In Short

• Responsible for accurate payroll processing for all employees.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Collaborate with HR, Benefits, and Finance teams.
• Oversee biweekly payroll processing using Workday.
• Maintain tax compliance and audit payroll information.
• Reconcile payroll deposits and GL entries.
• Participate in compensation review processes.
• Manage multiple priorities within deadlines.
• Provide exceptional customer service to employees.
• Lead problem-solving and special projects within Payroll.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of payroll experience.
• Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Professional dedication to quality and customer service.
• Ability to adapt to changing business conditions.
• Experience with payroll GL posting and reconciliation.
• CPP certification preferred.
