The Ultrasound Technologist serves as a specialist for advanced ultrasound programs and examinations, providing guidance to medical sonography students and resources to ultrasound staff at Mass General Brigham.

• Provides on-the-job instruction to employees in ultrasound procedures.
• Guides diagnostic medical sonography students through ultrasound procedures.

• Independently performs advanced ultrasound procedures including echocardiograms and vascular assessments.
• Records digital images for radiologist interpretation.
• Assists physicians in needle biopsies and renal biopsies.

• Requires a Certificate/Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Must obtain ARDMS certification within 90 days of employment.

Requirements

• Education: Certificate/Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography required.
• Licenses: American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) required within 90 days.
• Good communication skills.
