Security Officer Per Diem - Remote

Overview

The Security Officer at North Shore Medical Center is responsible for ensuring a safe environment for patients, visitors, and employees, while adhering to regulations and providing effective communication and de-escalation skills.

In Short

• Perform duties to ensure safety on property.
• Work under the supervision of the Security Supervisor.
• Rotating shifts including days, evenings, and nights.
• Assist in lifting patients and physically restraining individuals if necessary.
• Complete restraint and de-escalation training within 30 days of hire.
• High School degree or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• CPR and First Aid training required within the first week of hire.
• Preferred experience in security, law enforcement, or military.

Requirements

• Familiarity with regulations and enforcement statutes.
• Effective communication and de-escalation skills.
• Ability to build rapport with others.
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Basic computer skills.
• High School degree or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• CPR and First Aid training.
• Successful completion of training within specified timeframes.
• Preferred Associate degree in relevant fields.
